20/02/2024 – Important Customer Safety Notice From Ideal Boilers. UPDATE

Dear Valued Customers,

We appreciate your continued attention and patience as we provide you with the latest update regarding the safety of Ideal Boilers.

Following the customer notice issued on 1st February, we are pleased to inform you that the product safety upgrade will be rolled out from the end of this month. Until then, you can continue to use your boiler safely.

While we understand there may be circulating content on social media platforms related to an incident, please be assured that the situation is under ongoing investigation.

We would like to reaffirm that you can continue to use your boiler without concern. However, we recommend repressurising your boiler to 1.5 bar.

Simple instructions on how to do this can be found below.

Important Instructions: Repressurising Your Boiler

  1. Locate the pressure gauge on your boiler.
  2. If the pressure is below 1.5 bar, follow the manufacturer’s instructions to repressurise.
  3. You can find detailed instructions on our dedicated webpage: www.idealsupport.co.uk.

Products currently in production are not affected by our safety notice.

02/02/2024

On the 2nd of February, we identified a potential issue with a small proportion of our boilers (approximately 1 in 10,000) related to an excessive volume of air becoming trapped inside the boiler during a fault condition.

This could lead to overheating and failure.

At Ideal Heating, safety is our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

As a precautionary measure, we will be applying a safety upgrade to boilers manufactured between August 2022 and 7th January 2024. The affected ranges include:

  • Logic Combi2
  • Logic System2
  • Logic + Combi2
  • Logic + System2
  • Logic Max Combi2
  • Logic Max System2
  • iMini2
  • Independent Combi2
  • Keston Combi2
  • Keston System2

If you own a boiler within this range, please visit www.idealsupport.co.uk to register your details for an engineer visit or call us free of charge on 0808 175 9173.

You can also check the dedicated webpage or call the freephone number to confirm if your boiler is affected.

We understand this situation may raise concerns, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
